Last Chance to Take our Nonprofit Health Survey
The Alabama Association of Nonprofits deeply values healthy nonprofit organizations. Without data on our sector, we do not know how to best serve you or advocate for you. Tomorrow, June 2nd is your last chance to participate in our Nonprofit Health Indicator study that is being managed by the Public Affairs Research Council of Alabama (PARCA). You should have received several emails and reminders from Ryan Hankins, Executive Director of PARCA. Please help us understand how nonprofits in Alabama are doing!

Nonprofit Advocacy
The week of June 12th I’ll be heading to Washington, DC to network and learn with other state nonprofit association leaders as well as meet with Alabama’s senators and representatives. I’ll be talking with them about ways to strengthen Alabama’s nonprofits, including benefits of the Nonprofit Stakeholders Engaging and Advancing Together (Nonprofit SEAT) Act, H.R. 3245 and the Charitable Act, H.R. 3435. If there is something you’d like me to discuss on behalf of our nonprofit community, please send me an email or call me at (205) 726-4712.
Nonprofit Office Hub
Are you interested in working in a nonprofit office hub? AAN believes it would be tremendously helpful and energizing for nonprofit organizations to have offices in the same building as other nonprofit organizations. This leads to opening doors (figuratively and literally) for each other and sharing resources. If you’re in the Birmingham area and have vacant office space in your building, or would be interested in a nonprofit hub, please let AAN know. We’re currently looking for two offices and access to a conference room. If we can create a hub in Birmingham, we would like to replicate this effort in other locations across the state. Contact me at danielle@alabamanonprofits.org to let me know about available office space or with suggestions.
Nomination Deadline June 9th
