Micro-Film Grant Initiative
Grants to member nonprofits for micro-films that showcase your mission and impact.
The Alabama Association of Nonprofits (AAN) wants to help our members generate more revenue for their nonprofit and help further their mission. By providing grants that help our members tell their stories, AAN elevates the work they are doing, leverages more funding for their organizations, and advocates for Alabama’s promising nonprofits. These 2-3 minute micro-films will be premiered at our inaugural Nonprofit Film Festival held early fall. This initiative of the Alabama Association of Nonprofits alleviates pressure on small advertising budgets and creates opportunity for nonprofits that are under-invested when compared to their peers.
Ten organizational participants, selected through a competitive grant application process, will become more knowledgeable about video marketing and individual donor fundraising. Training and coaching will be provided to the cohort so that organizations will be ready to develop relationships with potential funders at the Film Festival and beyond.
To learn more and to apply, please read our fact sheet and submit your application by 5:00 PM on April 30, 2024. Grants are available to current members only—please ensure your membership is active before you apply. Non-members are not eligible.
Ten grants will be provided that each include:
- $10,000 to use with one of several pre-vetted videographers.
- $500 to compensate for staff time or outsourcing costs related to measuring project outcomes.
We are grateful to our partners with the Fidelity Charitable Catalyst Fund for supporting this project.
