Mission & Vision
The mission of the Alabama Association of Nonprofits (AAN) is to strengthen and support Alabama nonprofit organizations in serving their communities.
For Alabama to have a healthy, responsive nonprofit sector that improves the quality of life for all citizens.
The Alabama Association of Nonprofits is committed to advancing our sector through the following three priority areas of focus:
- Development and delivery of professional training opportunities for nonprofit executives, nonprofit board members, volunteers and community stakeholders based on national best practices and local examples of nonprofit success.
- Promoting advocacy and public policy engagement and training for Alabama’s nonprofit sector on issues affecting the sector and how we effectively and efficiently deliver services to all Alabamians.
- Providing nationally-recognized group purchasing benefits, consulting services and management support to help nonprofit organizations save money, attract and retain experienced employees, safeguard donor contributions and operate efficiently and effectively.
